Our team
National Treatment Transport employs certified interventionists, recovery coaches, EMTs and private investigators. Many of our agents are veterans, and many have walked their own path through treatment and recovery, which is why they can connect with the person beside them rather than simply escort them. Meet the team.
Certified for your family's safety
When choosing a transport agency, ask what credentials the agents hold. Ours:
- CRT, our certified de-escalation and safe-hold training. Verbal de-escalation comes first; safe holds are a last resort, never a tactic.
- Trauma-informed care.
- CPR, AED and first aid.
- Narcan certification. Every agent carries and can administer naloxone.
- Defensive driving.
- Background checks on every agent.
- Founding member of the Association of Mediation and Adolescent Transport Services (AMATS).
Standards on every transport
- A written plan reviewed with the family before pickup
- Honest communication with the person being transported about where they are going
- De-escalation first; we connect before we give any directive
- Multiple trained agents on every transport
- Continuous supervision from pickup to admission
- Updates to the family during travel and confirmation on arrival
- An incident report for anything out of the ordinary
Privacy and confidentiality
We share information only with the people a family or client authorizes and with the clinical teams directly involved.
Questions to ask any transport company
We encourage families to ask us, and anyone else they are considering:
- Who exactly will be with my child, and what is their training?
- Are your agents background-checked employees?
- What is your policy on restraints?
- Are you insured, and can I see proof?
- How will I be updated during the trip?
- What happens if a flight is cancelled or my child refuses to go?
